I started my trail at Erwin, Tennessee on a sunny April morning, intending to hike part of the famous Appalachian Trail from Tennessee to Virginia. The trail start was relaxing. I hiked for four miles through the most beautiful pine & fur tree forest to the first shelter. The trail followed a stream and criss-crossed through wooden bridges.
